Photography offers a mode of creative communication as well as a lens into the communities we inhabit and visit. Photographs can capture a range of moments and expressions, people, places, and events. As such, the Office of Academic Affairs and Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning would like to invite all University of Detroit Mercy community members to submit digital photographs for consideration as part of the 2nd annual 2024 photography contest.
The contest is open to current faculty, staff, students, and administrators to celebrate and display our unique world views. You can submit photographs in the categories listed (one entry allowed per category). First-place winners in each category will receive cash prizes and an enlarged, mounted copy of their winning photograph(s)!
One entry form per photograph submitted. Contestant may enter one photo per category, a total of five entries allowed. One UDM email address for each contestant (contestants may not share an email address). The title on the entry form must match the name of the file submitted.
Submission tip: Generally it's best to submit the highest quality image with the least amount of compression. eg., When applying compression to your photo, err on the side of quality over reduced file size. (Submit the original file size, not a smaller version).
